Honor Class 22-84

Honor Class 22-84

After Phil completed his college degree at sea, the Navy sent him to Aviation Officer Candidate School. He joined a class with a large share of aviation officer candidates with prior enlisted experience. They gelled together quickly, worked hard and won recognition as an “honor class”. Phil recalls visits to the rose garden with his drill instructor where they contemplated the honor code, “I will not lie, cheat or steal; nor tolerate those among us who do.” Phil will join other veterans and decent people in Congress who take the honor code seriously.*
