The Continuous Dishonorable Behavior of Matt Gaetz Shows He’s Unfit to Represent Florida’s 1st District

Poor job performance and reckless behavior have given voters an appetite to make an historic change.

PENSACOLA, FL — Congressman Matt Gaetz is in a vulnerable position as the momentum has shifted in Florida’s 1st District. His lying, stealing, and cheating has shown in our polling conducted by Lake Research Partners that he has made himself extremely unpopular. His weaknesses are amplified among unaffiliated voters who will likely determine this election.

Below are a few examples that highlight his behavior:

Gaetz got busted for falsely claiming that Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-MD) went to Venice, Italy, and neglected his district in Baltimore, Maryland.

Gaetz lashed out at a parent of one of the victims of the mass shooting that took place in Parkland, Florida, in an attempt to eject him from the U.S. House chambers for speaking out of turn.

Gaetz was under investigation concerning a tweet that he sent out about Michael Cohen.

Gaetz made light of Hunter Biden’s substance abuse issue and resurfaces his own DUI arrest.

Gaetz violated House ethics rules with his spending practices.

As a former Republican and  26-year U.S. Naval Aviation Commander (Ret.), it is becoming socially acceptable for those in the Panhandle to cast their vote for someone that speaks to their values.

“The momentum is shifting in Florida’s 1st District and we have the data to back up what we are feeling on the ground,” stated U.S. Congressional Candidate, Phil Ehr. “It is not about party affiliation, it is about honorable leadership and diligent representation of all in our district. Gaetz has proven over and over again that he cares more about his media appearances than he does his constituents.”
